The most common reason an automatic gate stops working. We diagnose the motor, gearbox, capacitor, limit switches, and drive coupling to find whether it’s a rebuild, a board, or a full operator replacement. Brand-correct parts, no aftermarket substitutions.

If the gate moves freely by hand but stops mid-cycle, the issue is more likely a photo eye or control board. Either way, we’ll diagnose it on site.

Check three things: (1) is the operator getting power — the LED on the control board should be lit; (2) are the photo eyes aligned and clean — a misaligned eye blocks all motion; (3) is the manual release engaged — if someone disengaged the gate for maintenance and forgot to re-engage, the operator runs but the gate stays still. If those three pass, call us.
A properly installed automatic gate with quality hardware should run three to seven years between meaningful service calls, longer with a preventive-maintenance schedule. Photo eyes drift and need re-alignment every year or two; that’s the most common recurring service item.
