We grind down old welds, re-weld with proper penetration, and often upgrade to ball-bearing hinges that won’t need attention for another decade. A full replacement is only warranted when the frame itself has corroded through.

Swing gates wear at the hinges, articulating arms, and ground tracks — geometry-sensitive parts. Slides fail more frequently in dust and debris; swings fail more frequently on sloped driveways.

Three common culprits: a photo eye is misaligned or dirty (causes the gate to reverse mid-cycle), the limit switch on the operator is mis-set (gate stops before fully closing), or the gate itself is sagging into the closing arc and hitting an obstruction. We diagnose all three at the same visit.
